The Cévennes line required the construction of a succession of engineering structures. it is one of the most beautiful railway lines in France.
In 1955, a train called Le Cévenol was created between Vichy and Nîmes and extended to Marseille to develop tourism on the Cévennes line. Insured at the outset by X 2400 railcars, it was quickly insured by the famous X 4200 panoramic railcars, then replaced in 1979 by a towed train made up of Corail cars.
Take part of the route of this legendary train today on a Caravelle railcar.
